Author and speaker David J. Hulings has been providing inspirational and instructive services for 30 years to those in transition. Trained in the U.S. Army as an advanced instructor at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, David has spent most of his life providing insightful training and inspirational material to thousands of eager learners. David’s time in the military whet his appetite for the training and motivation of others, setting him on a long and profitable course as a transition coach.
After his service to our country, David worked his way through the educational world under the G.I. Bill, graduating from Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, MI. His background in education has helped hone his skills as a communicator and sharpen his understanding of human behavior. Certified in several assessments and schools of thought on motivation and human development, David has developed unique presentations that not only charm his audience but also challenge their minds and actions. For the past 30 years, David has acquired management and leadership skills that have equipped him to provide positive, entertaining training sessions for his clients and their employees as they transition from point “A” to point “B.” David has conducted hundreds of one-on-one executive coaching exercises, and knows people well. One of David’s passions has been coaching high school soccer. Before stepping down in 2020 from his coaching career of 30+ years, David coached both boys (fall) and girls (spring) varsity soccer. David had the privilege of impacting hundreds of young student-athletes using the same building blocks for life that he brings to his leadership coaching clients. And, as an added bonus, David was able to take five teams to the state finals and come home with three state championships.
Brief Speaker Introduction: For the past 30-years, David has been a speaker, writer and executive leadership coach. He began his leadership training as a Sargent in the U.S. Army as an instructor in the Lance Missile System, Ft Sill, Oklahoma. He has spent the past years coaching school administrators, corporate C-suite leadership, college presidents and non-profit leaders. He has authored four books on the relationship between archetypes and leaders, and has a fifith book coming out the fall of 2025 focused on decision making and archetypal bias.
